Itinerary
7:00 AM – Depart from Mombasa
- Early morning drive via the Mombasa–Nairobi highway.
- Scenic route through Voi toward Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.
- Brief stopover in Voi for refreshments.
11:00 AM – Arrive at Taita Hills Sanctuary / Check-in
- Welcome drink and check-in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge or Taita Hills Safari Resort.
- Relax and enjoy lunch with panoramic views of the waterhole.
3:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive
- Explore the sanctuary, known for elephants, lions, buffaloes, and diverse birdlife.
- Great photo opportunities at golden hour.
6:30 PM – Return to Lodge / Dinner & Overnight
- Optional night game drive (extra cost).
6:30 AM – Early Breakfast & Depart for Tsavo East or West
- Full-day game drive with picnic lunch in the park.
- Tsavo East: Open savannah, Galana River, Lugard Falls, Yatta Plateau.
- Tsavo West: Shetani Lava Flow, Mzima Springs, rugged terrain with scenic views.
12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch at a designated site
- Enjoy your packed lunch under shade with views of wildlife or nature trails.
2:00 PM – Continue Game Viewing
- Track big cats, elephants, giraffes, antelope species, and birdlife.
- Visit popular landmarks or waterholes.
5:30 PM – Return to Lodge / Freshen Up & Dinner
- Optional sundowner or storytelling by a bonfire (depending on lodge).
- Overnight stay.
6:30 AM – Morning Game Drive (Optional)
- A final chance to catch early risers and predators in action.
- Return to lodge for breakfast.
10:00 AM – Check-Out & Depart for Mombasa
- Scenic drive with optional stop at local curio shops or Voi town.
